Several long-running transportation projects remain active in Stafford County. VDOT reports that the Route 1 bridge over Chopawamsic Creek is being replaced while traffic is maintained in phases, with completion expected in June 2028.
Other listed work includes Route 1 improvements at Telegraph Road and Woodstock Lane, the Route 1 and Courthouse Road intersection project, and replacement of the Rock Hill Church Road bridge over Aquia Creek.
